A

Alcohol Policy

Alcoholic beverages can be purchased inside Vivint Smart Home Arena by individuals who are at least 21 years old and have proper legal identification. During Utah Jazz home games, alcohol sales cease at the start of the fourth quarter. For all other events at Vivint Smart Home Arena, alcohol sales cease 45 minutes prior to the end of any event. Outside alcohol may not be brought into any event at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Alcohol Serving & Consumption

Vivint Smart Home Arena strongly encourages all guests to drink responsibly when consuming alcoholic beverages. A summary of alcohol serving and consumption policies is listed below.

  • Vivint Smart Home Arena reserves the right to deny entry to any guest who appears to be impaired.
  • Alcoholic beverages will not be served in containers larger than 24 ounces.
  • A maximum of two (2) alcoholic beverages may be sold to each guest, per purchase, per valid ID.
  • Vivint Smart Home Arena management reserves the right to eject any guest under the age of 21 who illegally purchases, possesses or consumes alcohol, or is visibly intoxicated. These guests are also subject to citation or arrest by the Salt Lake City Police.
  • Guests must discard alcoholic beverages prior to exiting Vivint Smart Home Arena.
  • Vivint Smart Home Arena and the Utah Jazz offer a designated driver program at all Utah Jazz homes games. (See: Designated Driver Program)

Alcohol Shutoff

During Utah Jazz home games, alcohol sales cease at the start of the fourth quarter. For all other events at Vivint Smart Home Arena, alcohol sales cease 45 minutes prior to the end of any event.

Animals

Certified service animals for guests with disabilities are welcome at Vivint Smart Home Arena. All other animals are prohibited from entering unless permission by Vivint Smart Home Arena management has been granted.

ATM

For your convenience, there are three ATM locations inside Vivint Smart Home Arena:
Main Concourse (Level 3) near Portals D, J and W.

Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Vivint Smart Home Arena is equipped with Automated External Defibrillators (AED) throughout the arena. In the event of an emergency, contact any guest service or event security team member for immediate assistance. These devices are located at or near all three (3) Guest Services locations:
(Portals L, U and CC), First Aid (Portal L) and Security Control on Level 1.

B

Baby Changing Stations

As a convenience for our guests with small children, baby changing stations are located in all family restrooms and women’s restrooms inside Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Family Restrooms:
Main Concourse – Portals G and T Upper Concourse – Portals CC and Q

Women’s Restrooms:
Main Concourse – Portals C, L, Q and Y Upper Concourse – Portals CC, LL, QQ and YY

Bags

Vivint Smart Home Arena requests that guests attending any event arrive early as all guests and bags are subject to search. Purses, diaper bags and small handbags are welcome inside. Oversized bags and backpacks are prohibited from being brought into Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Banners & Signs

Hand-held signs or posters are allowed inside Vivint Smart Home Arena for most shows and events, unless otherwise specified by team, event and/or Vivint Smart Home Arena management. All signs or posters should promote fan support and follow the list of guidelines stated below.

  • Item may not be larger than 11” x 17” in size
  • Item may not block or obstruct the view or disturb any guests around you
  • Item must be related to the show and not contain obscene or offensive language or pictures
  • Poles, sticks or pipes to display items are prohibited
  • Items may not be commercial in nature or obstruct any sponsors or advertisers signage
  • Item may not be hung, displayed or affixed to any part of Vivint Smart Home Arena

Event Days:
9:00 AM until the conclusion of the event

Saturday Event Days:

C

Cameras & Camcorders

Small instamatic or digital cameras with extended lenses are welcome for most events at Vivint Smart Home Arena. We invite you to please leave cameras with an external flash or interchangeable lenses, as well as all audio and video recording devices, at home or in your car. Professional photography, monopods or tripods, and any equipment that may obstruct the view of any other guest are prohibited.

Children

All children under the age of 24 months may enter any event at Vivint Smart Home Arena free of charge, but must share a seat with an accompanying ticketed adult. Children 24 months and older are required to provide a ticket upon entry into Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Checking-In Items

Prohibited items or items too big to store under your seat (e.g. a stroller, wheelchairs, large bags or backpacks) should be checked in at any of our three (3) Guest Services locations near Portals L and U on the Main Concourse, or Portal CC on the Upper Concourse.

D

Designated Driver Program

Vivint Smart Home Arena and the Utah Jazz participate in the Budweiser Good Sport Program. This initiative is designed to encourage guests to be responsible designated drivers. Guests who are 21 and older and wish to participate may visit any Guest Services location inside Vivint Smart Home Arena for more information.

Doors Open

For all Utah Jazz home games and major concerts, doors open to the general public 90 minutes prior to tipoff or the start of the show. For all other events at Vivint Smart Home Arena, doors open one (1) hour prior to start of the event.

Disabled Services

Vivint Smart Home Arena is committed to creating a comfortable sports and entertainment experience while accommodating the needs of our guests with disabilities. We hope that this information will be helpful in explaining our services and policies to ensure a truly comfortable, enjoyable and safe experience at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Assistive Listening Devices

Assistive listening devices are available at Guest Services (Portal U), free of charge. A valid driver’s license or picture ID will be required while using the device.

Accessible/Disabled Parking

Accessible parking spaces are available in the Park Place parking lot located to the northeast of Vivint Smart Home Arena and on South Temple. These spots are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Interpreting Services

Sign language interpreters must be requested 30 days prior to the event and be approved by the performer or event management. For details, please contact Guest Services by calling (801) 325-2130.

Passenger Drop-Off Zone

Guests may use the passenger drop-off zone on 300 West. Due to post-game traffic, this area may not be accessible for pickup.

Restrooms

All public and family restrooms are accessible for our guests with disabilities.

Service Animals

Certified service animals for guests with disabilities are welcome at Vivint Smart Home Arena. All other animals are prohibited from entering unless permission from Vivint Smart Home Arena management has been granted.

Wheelchairs

Guests in need of a wheelchair may request wheelchair assistance courtesy of Vivint Smart Home Arena. A limited number of wheelchairs are available for transporting guests to/from their seats. Guest may arrange wheelchair assistance by contacting any Guest Services or Event Security team member. In addition, wheelchair assistance can be arranged by calling Guest Services at (801) 325-2246. This hotline is only available to the general public on event days from the time doors open until the conclusion of the event.

Wheelchair and Companion Seating

Vivint Smart Home Arena provides wheelchair and companion seating on both the Main Concourse and Upper Concourse. For assistance and seating relocations on the day of the game or event, contact a Guest Service team member or visit any of our three (3) Guest Services locations throughout Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Elevators

Elevators are for priority use for all guests with disabilities, as well as premium ticket holders. We invite all other guests to use stairwells and escalators when possible. Elevators are located in the following locations inside Vivint Smart Home Arena:

Main Concourse – Portals A, F and T

Suite Level – Suites 9, 23 and 51

Upper Concourse – Portals AA, GG and TT

Emergency Medical Services (First Aid)

Trained Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) are available to assists any guest in need during Vivint Smart Home Arena events. A First Aid Station is located on the Main Concourse near Portal L. In the event of an emergency, please contact any Guest Services or Event Security team member for assistance.

Escalators

We invite all guests to use stairwells and escalators when possible. Escalators are located in the following locations inside Vivint Smart Home Arena:

Main Concourse – Portals D and Y

Upper Concourse – Portal BB

F

Family Restrooms

Family restrooms are located in the following locations inside Vivint Smart Home Arena:

Main Concourse – Portals G and T

Upper Concourse – Portals CC and QQ

Baby changing stations are located in each family restroom and all women’s restrooms.

Fan Code of Conduct

The National Basketball Association (NBA), Utah Jazz and Vivint Smart Home Arena are committed to creating a safe, comfortable and enjoyable sports and entertainment experience. NBA fans have a right to expect an environment where:

  • Players will respect and appreciate each and every fan
  • Guests will be treated in a consistent, professional and courteous manner by all arena and team personnel
  • Guests will enjoy the basketball experience free from disruptive behavior, including foul or abusive language or obscene gestures
  • Guests will consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner, and intervention with an impaired, intoxicated or underaged guest will be handled in a prompt and safe manner
  • Guests will sit only in their ticketed seats and show their tickets when requested
  • Guests will not engage in fighting, throwing objects or attempting to enter the court, and those who engage in any of these actions will immediately be ejected from the game
  • Guests will smoke in designated smoking areas only
  • There will not be any obscene or indecent messages on signs or clothing
  • Guests will comply with requests from arena staff regarding arena operations and emergency response procedures

The arena staff has been trained to intervene when necessary to help ensure that the above expectations are met. Guests are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest usher, security guard or Guest Services staff member. Guests who choose not to adhere to these provisions will be subject to ejection without refund and revocation of season tickets, and may also be in violation of city ordinances resulting in possible arrest and prosecution.

The NBA, Utah Jazz and Vivint Smart Home Arena thank you for adhering to the provisions of the NBA Fan Code of Conduct.

Flash Seats

Flash Seats paperless ticketing matches your tickets with the credit card you used at the time of purchase. Present that credit card or Flash Seats® mobile app to any ticket taker at any public access point of Vivint Smart Home Arena, just as you would a standard paper ticket, and your tickets will print out as you enter the arena. Please note that swiping the credit card does not result in an addition charge on the credit card or provide customer refunds for unused tickets.

To view your tickets, transfer tickets to another person or make changes to your Flash Seats account, please log on to Flashseats.com using the same email address and password used to create your Flashseats.com account.

First Aid

The First Aid station is located inside Vivint Smart Home Arena at Portal L. In the event of an emergency, please contact any Guest Services or Event Security team member for assistance.

Guest Conduct

Vivint Smart Home Arena is committed to creating a comfortable, enjoyable and safe sports and entertainment experience. Vivint Smart Home Arena management reserves the right to remove any guest whose conduct is deemed inappropriate, unruly or detrimental to the enjoyment of guests around him/her. If you observe any guest behaving in such a manner, please contact the near Guest Services or Event Security team member.

Guest Services

Our Guest Services team members are ready to assist guests with any questions regarding the services or amenities inside Vivint Smart Home Arena. Guests that have compliments, comments or concerns are invited to visit any of our three (3) Guest Services locations inside Vivint Smart Home Arena. Guest Service locations are located at Portals L and U on the Main Concourse, and Portal CC on the Upper Concourse. In addition, each of our Guest Services locations will provide assistance to guests with disabilities. (See: Services for Guests with Disabilities)

L

Lost & Found

All lost-and-found items are taken to one of our three (3) Guest Services locations at Vivint Smart Home Arena. During an event, guests are invited to inquire about lost items at any of these locations. After an event, we welcome you to contact Building Security at (801) 325-2033 to inquire if an item has been recovered. All items are held for 30 days, with unclaimed items being donated to charity after that period.

Lost Children / Lost Guests

Lost children or guests should be directed to any of our three (3) Guest Services locations inside Vivint Smart Home Arena. Parents or guardians looking for lost children or members of their party should contact the nearest Guest Services or Event Security team member.

Parking

Vivint Smart Home Arena features more than 10,000 parking spaces within a two-block radius, including parking for guests with disabilities. Prices and parking availability vary by event. Please call (801) 325-2130 for specific prices and information on alternative ways to attend events at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Prohibited Items

Vivint Smart Home Arena is committed to creating a comfortable, enjoyable and safe sports and entertainment experience. The following items are prohibited at all events at Vivint Smart Home Arena (Note: this is only a partial list of prohibited items):

  • Aerosol Cans
  • Backpacks
  • Beach balls, frisbees or any other projectiles
  • Coolers or bottles (cans or glass)
  • Cameras with an external flash or detachable lenses
  • Electronic cigarettes (may be used in designated smoking areas)
  • Firearms, knives or weapons of any kind
  • Fireworks
  • Flasks
  • Illegal substances
  • Large banners/flags
  • Laser pointers
  • Mace, pepper spray
  • Noise-making devices including whistles/horns
  • Outside food and beverage
  • Signs with obscene or offensive language or pictures (See: Banners and Signs)
  • Sticks, poles or pipes, selfie sticks, bats, clubs, umbrellas
  • Rollerblades or skateboards
  • Strollers
  • Tripods, audio/visual recorders
  • Anything else deemed inappropriate by arena management

Re-Entry

For all Utah Jazz home games, guests can re-enter Vivint Smart Home Arena. Guests planning to re-enter the arena must have their ticket scanned out and upon re-entry present the ticket to be scanned in. They will be subject to search by Event Security. For all other events, our re-entry policy is at the discretion of event and/or arena management and may vary based on the event.

Restrooms are located on all levels throughout Vivint Smart Home Arena.

S

Smoking Policy

In compliance with the Utah Indoor Clean Air Act, Vivint Smart Home Arena is a smoke-free arena with designated smoking areas. Guests may access these designated smoking areas by stepping outside of Door 3 or Door 7 during an event. E-cigarettes are prohibited inside Vivint Smart Home Arena but are permitted in the designated smoking areas.

Strollers

Strollers are welcome inside Vivint Smart Home Arena but are prohibited inside the seating bowl. If necessary, strollers can be checked in at any of our three (3) Guest Services locations during the event.

W

Weapons

For the safety of all our guests, firearms, knives and weapons of any kind are prohibited inside Vivint Smart Home Arena. Any guest presenting a game or event ticket consents to a reasonable search for weapons of any kind before entering. Failure to comply with the above conditions will result in no admittance or ejection.

Wheelchair Assistance

Guests in need of assistance to/from their seats may request wheelchair assistance courtesy of Vivint Smart Home Arena. Please contact the nearest Guest Services or Event Security team member for assistance.

Guest Services FAQs

At what age are children required to have a ticket?

At what door do I enter if I have Flash Seats?

Any door where the general public is allowed to enter Vivint Smart Home Arena can accommodate guests using Flash Seats.

Are tickets purchased through a third party or other websites valid?

Although the brokerage of tickets is legal in the state of Utah, the Utah Jazz and Vivint Smart Home Arena’s preferred ticket outlets are the Vivint Smart Home Arena Box Office, Smith’s Tix and Flash Seats. All tickets purchased through other third parties or website are not guaranteed by Vivint Smart Home Arena management.

If I am not driving, where is the best place to be dropped off?

Guests may use the passenger drop-off zone on 300 West. Due to post-game traffic, this area may not be accessible for pickup.

How can I request a “Happy Birthday” message?

Guests requesting a “Happy Birthday” message on the video board for any Utah Jazz home game may do so by calling (801) 325-2553. The request must be made and confirmed two (2) business days prior to the game that is being requested.¬†Due to the high volume of requests, messages are limited to name and age only.
